The Port Inn has adopted “Project
Planet”, the hospitality industry’s leading
environmental re-use program endorsed by the American Hotel and Lodging
Association. By asking guests to use their bed linens and towels more
than once, The Port Inn is able to reduce water, energy and detergent
usage everyday! Impressively, an average of 70% of The Port Inn guests
asked…are happy to participate. Based on an average size 100-room
hotel, Project Planet participants can save 6000 gallons of water
and 40 gallons of detergent each month. Do the math when thousands
of hotels take action.
